- Flip-Pal mobile scanner Team Attending RootsTech 2012
The Couragent, Inc. Flip-Pal mobile scanner team will be attending the RootsTech Family History and Technology Conference, Feb. 2-4, 2012, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT. This unique conference brings technologists together with genealogists to find solutions to the challenges of genealogy research. The Flip-Pal mobile scanner team will be located in booth #610.
During the three-day conference members of the Flip-Pal mobile scanner team will demonstrate the benefits of using a wireless SD card to transfer scanned images—both documents and photos—to a variety of electronic devices including smart phones, tablets and computers. This technology will be particularly valuable to genealogists during extensive scanning sessions, as it will eliminate the need to physically transfer an SD card to an electronic device in order to check the quality of scanned images. Diane Miller, Flip-Pal mobile scanner genealogy expert, will be presenting "Flip-Pal Mobile Wireless Communication" in the Exhibit Hall Demonstration Area on Thursday, from 3:00–3:20 p.m.
There will also be demonstrations of the Flip-Pal mobile scanner Sketch Kit, an easy-to-use method of annotating scanned photographs and documents. Flip-Pal customer Shaun O’Hara said, “It is great to make notes on the Sketch sheet so that when I scan a photo I also have the notes that go with the photo—the dates, names, places and more. After cropping the photo I then have the scanned image and a separate image with the notes—all saved in a digital format.”
On Friday evening, Thomas MacEntee, the Flip-Pal mobile scanner ambassador, along with members of the Flip-Pal mobile scanner team and co-host DearMYRTLE will be featuring the Flip-Pal mobile scanner on the GeneaBloggers Radio Show.

Couragent, Inc. chose to launch its international shipping of Flip-Pal mobile scanner at the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Show in Anaheim, CA, with shipping beginning on January 27, 2012 to many international countries.
Flip-Pal mobile scanner customers worldwide will be able to browse their flip-pal.com website and directly add items to their shopping cart. Customers will receive real time price quotes in their local currency and the option to include duties and taxes at a guaranteed rate.
