Flip-Pal warranty


First Year Warranty

Couragent, Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal non-commercial use for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase. Please make sure to keep your original sales receipt—this dated proof of purchase will ensure your warranty coverage. This warranty does not apply to any defects caused by negligence, misuse, accidents, acts of nature, or unauthorized modification or attempted repair. Cosmetic damage to case parts or to other parts that does not affect product function is not covered.

The Flip-Pal mobile scanner is a sensitive optical device, similar to a digital camera. Damage caused by dropping or other abuse of this device is not covered by this warranty.

Couragent, Inc. will repair, replace or, at its option, refund the purchase price of a defective product during the warranty period. Contact Customer Support at 855.477.3547 for service authorization. Please have ready the product receipt, product serial number (located on bottom of scanner), and a description of the problem (error message or physical defect). Replacement products may be new or factory refurbished items of the same or comparable value.

This Warranty applies only to equipment purchased in the United States or Canada.

Warranty coverage is only available from within the country where the products were originally purchased. You may be required to ship products, at your expense, to the authorized warranty service center for the country where the products were purchased.


2nd Year Extended Warranty

The 2nd Year Extended Warranty covers the Flip-Pal mobile scanner with a second year of warranty coverage. The same terms, conditions, and exclusions apply as in the complimentary first year warranty.

The 2nd Year Extended Warranty coverage begins at the conclusion of the warranty given with the purchase of the Flip-Pal mobile scanner, and lasts for one year from that date. Retain your purchase receipts for both the Flip-Pal mobile scanner and the 2nd Year Extended Warranty to ensure speedy handling of your coverage.

If you return your scanner under the scanner’s 30 day satisfaction guarantee policy, you will be given a refund for the 2nd Year Extended Warranty purchase as well.

If your scanner is lost, stolen, or broken, you may transfer your 2nd Year Extended Warranty coverage to a new scanner. If you give, sell, or transfer your scanner, along with its software license rights, to another party, the extended warranty can be transferred as well. Please contact Customer Support for assistance in transferring your warranty coverage.


30 Day Money Back Guarantee

For any product purchased from flip-pal.com, Couragent, Inc. will refund the full purchase price of your product if requested within 30 days of purchase and the product is in new condition and returned in the original packaging with all accessories. Products other than the Flip-Pal mobile scanner must be unopened for a refund to be given.

For our products purchased from another retailer, return products to that retailer according to their return policy.

To request a refund of your purchase price, please contact Customer Support at 855.477.3547 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mountain Time). Our Customer Support representative will verify that the product has been purchased from us within the last 30 days and will give you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and a shipping address. Upon obtaining an RMA, you must ship the unit in the original packaging and with all accessories to our service center with 1) a copy of your proof of purchase, and 2) a letter containing the RMA, your name, and email address (for notification). (Note: Please remove any images from your SD card before you return it with the scanner).

The RMA number must appear on the outside of the shipping box. Only a product with a valid RMA will be accepted. We recommend that you insure the shipment for the purchase price of the product. The costs of such insuring and shipping are your responsibility.

Once we receive the unit and verify that the requirements of this guarantee are met, we will credit or refund the purchase price.

When you call our Customer Support representative you will need:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Product serial number (located on bottom of scanner)
  • Provide your name and phone number or email address for notification

Defective Product Replacement

We are dedicated to providing a high quality product and exceptional service for our customers. In the unlikely event that your unit is defective, please contact Customer Support at 1.970.221.7223 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mountain Time) to authorize product replacement.

Our Customer Support representative will verify that the product is within the one year warranty period, is defective rather than damaged, and give you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and a shipping address. Upon obtaining an RMA from Customer Support, you must ship the unit to our service center with 1) a copy of your proof of purchase, and 2) a letter containing the RMA, your name, email address (for notification), a return shipping address, and a brief description of the problem. (Note: Please remove and retain your SD card from the unit.)

The RMA number must appear on the outside of the shipping box. Only products with a valid RMA will be accepted. We recommend you insure the shipment for the purchase price of the unit. The costs of such insuring and shipping are your responsibility.

Once we receive the unit and verify that the product is within the one year warranty and defective, we will immediately ship a replacement unit to your address at our expense. Replacement units may be new or factory refurbished.
